Lighthouse Weekend 2004
Always up for a challenge, we set about convincing
the authorities that there really was, at one point
in history, a light beacon at the mouth of the river
Spey. The confirmation came through just in time, so
we hauled our caravan, antenna tower and radio gear
to the beach at Kingston, near the river mouth, and
set up camp.

SSB Field Day 2000
The German city of Landshut (which is twinned with
Elgin) is home to several keen radio contesters. Along
with several family members, they traveled to Moray
for a holiday - neatly timed to coincide with SSB Field
Day. While the families went on a tour of Moray, the
hams got down to some serious contesting with MFARS
members.
