MFARS holds a bring-and-buy sale twice a year (usually in April/May and September/October) in the function room of the Grant Arms Hotel, Fochabers. Everyone is welcome - the more the merrier, and the more stuff is on offer.

Everything radio, electronic and computer-related is on offer, from scrap parts to modern radio equipment in good condition. Most items are sold at very low prices.

It's also a good opportunity to meet the club members, join up, find out what's going on and have a good "rag chew".

Visitors (both hams and non-hams) are very welcome! Bring all that stuff that's cluttering up your shack/garage/loft and see how much you can get rid of. Maybe you'll end up taking somebody else's stuff home. If it doesn't sell, bring it back next time (or throw it in the rubbish bin conveniently situated near the door if you really don't want it!)

The entry fee is usually £1 (excellent value!) and there is no extra charge for sellers or tables. It's first come, first served, so just choose a table (you can share if you only have a few items), load your stuff on it and get haggling.

If you plan to sell higher value items such as transceivers, you can have your items listed in the sale notices and email announcements before the sale. Contact the secretary with the info.

The sales are held on Saturdays in the early afternoon. See the diary page for sale dates. Light lunches and drinks are available from the hotel kitchen.

Car parking is somewhat limited. If you have heavy items (or lots of stuff) you can unload at the door then find a park on one of the side streets.
