Our Club

With roots going back to the 1960s, the Society aims to provide training to allow anyone, regardless of background or education, to enjoy and participate fully in this fascinating hobby.


Holding an Amateur Radio Licence allows you to communicate with others all around the World and even with the crew of the International Space Station. Some members of the club are professionals in the radio and electronics field and we have a dedicated training team to help you understand the licence structure and pass the tests to allow you to become a fully qualified radio amateur (Ham).

Moray Firth Amateur Radio Society is a group of amateur radio enthusiasts with a variety of radio interests.
